Precautions for winter construction of fired bricks
Fired bricks are a common paving material, and their presence can be seen in many corners of daily life. During the construction process, we should pay attention to the requirements of the environment and temperature. During winter construction, we should pay attention to the following construction precautions:
① Insulation measures should be taken for plastering mortar. When the temperature is below 5 ℃, an appropriate amount of additives that can lower the freezing temperature can be added to the mortar used for outdoor plastering. The mortar plaster layer shall not be frozen during the initial hardening stage.
② Precautions for winter construction of fired bricks. Do not rinse with hot water to thaw and eliminate frost on the wall. For walls constructed using the freezing method, outdoor plastering should be carried out after they have completely thawed.
③ The plastering layer can be dried using hot air or a stove with a chimney to accelerate drying. When using hot air, ventilation and dehumidification equipment must be installed.
Compared with other bricks, fired bricks have both certain strength and good insulation and sound insulation properties. In winter, indoor walls will not have condensation, and the price is low. Although various new wall materials continue to emerge, fired bricks will still be used as a primary material in masonry projects in the near future.
