Process for laying fired bricks
Fired bricks belong to building material paving materials and are commonly used masonry products for road and park greening. As they are used in public places, their aesthetic appeal is very important. In order to improve the quality and aesthetics of the project, this article summarizes the key points of the operation process for laying fired bricks, which can be used as a reference.
1. Process flow: 3cm cement mortar (M7.5) cushion layer → finding elevation and drawing lines → laying prefabricated concrete slabs → filling joints.
2. 3cm cement mortar (M7.5) cushion layer: Conduct sub operations on the compacted foundation of the cement mortar cushion layer, layer by layer according to the design requirements, and the thickness should not be less than 30mm.
3. Finding elevation and drawing lines: After the cement mortar (M7.5) cushion layer is completed, based on the existing benchmark and the design requirements of the road surface elevation, use the already built JQ-1515 edge stone as the reference, level it with a level gauge, and draw a horizontal line.
4. Laying fired bricks
Select the fired bricks that enter the site, remove the plates with cracks, missing corners, warping, and surface defects, and do not mix plates with different strengths and varieties.
Draw a horizontal line and lay a row of fired bricks at each end of each section as a standard for masonry.
Before laying, clean the base layer and lay a 30mm thick mortar bonding layer (with a mix ratio according to the design requirements). The area should not be too large and should be laid as the mortar is laid. When laying the fired bricks, they should be slightly higher than the horizontal line of the surface layer. Then, use a rubber hammer to compact the plate so that the surface layer is level with the horizontal line. The gap between fired bricks should not exceed 5mm. It is necessary to check the flatness of the joint grid in a timely manner by pulling a line, and use a 2m ruler to check the flatness of the bricks. Lay tactile paving bricks at the designated position according to the design requirements.
5. Joint grouting: within 2 days after paving fired bricks or tactile paving bricks, joint grouting shall be carried out according to the cement mortar required by the design. After filling and filling, the surface course shall be cleaned up. People can walk on the surface after the bonding layer reaches the strength.
After the completion of the fired brick paving, it is necessary to observe whether there are any omissions, and use measuring tools to observe whether the road is straight. If there are deviations, they should be corrected, and traffic can only be opened after the slurry has solidified.
