The laying process of fired bricks
Fired bricks are a common building material in construction, currently used for building walls, floors, sewers, and other parts.Compared with ordinary bricks, they have good anti-corrosion properties. When laid on the ground, they are not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing. So,how is it laid?Let's take a look at its laying process below.
1.Prepare to lay
Based on the construction detailed drawing, carefully check the dimensions and methods of each part, and calculate the specific dimensions of each detailed corner.
2.Grassroots treatment
Clean up the debris on the ground cushion layer, check for hollowing on the base layer, and if there is hollowing, cut off the hollowing area and pour it again. The mortar and sludge on the cushion layer must be cleaned thoroughly.
3.Try to assemble
Before formal installation, trial assembly should be carried out according to the pattern, color, and shape, and attention should also be paid to encountering pipeline cutting;Arrange the incomplete fired bricks at the corners and neatly arrange them.
4.Split Line
In order to ensure good pavement quality, control lines should be divided in advance on the ground. Before paving, the control lines should be pulled in advance, fixed and recorded, and the displacement of the control lines should be observed from time to time.It is also necessary to find the surface elevation according to the measured elevation line and draw the horizontal elevation control line.
5.Trial arrangement
Lay two dry sand belts in two vertical directions, with a width greater than the width of the bricks and a thickness of at least 3cm.Based on the detailed construction drawings, actual site dimensions, and the proposed paving style, arrange the bricks and check if the gaps between the blocks meet the requirements.Check if the trial paving can meet the intended effect.
6.Formal laying
It should be soaked in water in advance, and the surface should be dried in the shade without visible water before paving.According to the cross control line drawn on site, lay one row horizontally and vertically as the standard for large-area paving.Based on the confirmed style during trial assembly and the gaps in the trial layout, begin laying at the intersection of the cross control lines.First, try laying, that is,lift the bricks to align the vertical and horizontal control lines and lay them on the already laid dry and hard mortar leveling layer, then use a rubber hammer to strike. After compacting the mortar to the laying height, lift the bricks and move them aside to check if the surface of the mortar matches the board. If any hollows are found, fill them with mortar and then lay them formally.Apply a layer of cement paste on the back of the fired brick, and place the board with all four corners falling down at the same time.Use a rubber hammer or wooden hammer to lightly tap and level it with a ruler according to the horizontal line. After laying the first block, lay it in sequence towards both sides and the backward direction. After laying the horizontal and vertical rows, there are standards that can be divided into sections and laid in sequence.
7.Finished product protection
After the paving is completed, the site should be kept closed and not used temporarily. The surface should be covered with sand for protection and watered for at least seven days before use.
The above is the process of laying fired bricks. After the laying is completed,it is necessary to check for any problems and ensure that there are no cracks or missing corners on the surface, which can also affect the aesthetics
