Sintered bricks have disadvantages such as heavy weight, small volume, high production energy consumption, and low construction efficiency. Using sintered porous bricks and sintered hollow bricks instead of sintered ordinary bricks can reduce the weight of buildings by about 30%, save clay by 20% to 30%, save fuel by 10% to 20%, improve wall construction efficiency by 40%, and improve the insulation and sound insulation performance of bricks. Under the same thermal performance requirements, the thickness of walls built with hollow bricks is usually reduced by about half a brick compared to walls built with solid bricks. Therefore, promoting the use of porous bricks and hollow bricks is one of the important measures to accelerate the reform of wall materials in China and promote technological progress in the wall materials industry.
